wok wok champions of the world

 ah man what a sick week! the new area and everything is incredible!! the ward is so awesome and man i just love it all so much. the bishop announced from the pulpit he wants to see me gain at least 15 more pounds so members have been feeding us like crazy. its been good to make up for all the weight i lost in my last area. my companion Elder Aylworth is too awesome haha i cant think of any time we havent been laughing. seriously i couldnt love it more here. spent the first night just crying and praying i was so happy haha ah i love it so much. 

before i left there was this apartment christmas party that all these old ladies that we talked to in the gym all the time invited us to so we went and ate food and there was this big christmas raffle and it came down to the last one and all these old ladies were so excited and i won and they went crazy. just a big huge crusty gaahhh from all of them. glad they invited us. 

but man its been too awesome since we got here. it started snowing like crazy and apparently its gonna be like that untiiiilll may i guess? no idea. probably not i dont think thats even possible. and its supposed to like drop down a million degrees soon but thats probably not true either. its already cold enough. the ward is so awesome. every ward ive been in the members have some sort of nickname. one was top gun and cowboy and now apparently im night rider. no idea, this asian couple was like oh yes you are night rider. elder night rider. what. if someone can explain thatd be awesome. 

we've got some super fun investigators! we met up with Ergine this Haitian girl who always has some crazy intense story from her life and that was fun! we learned some pretty interesting things yesterday! led to an awesome discussion on repentance and when we explained how with the Atonement we can be made completely clean and she was like noooo waaayyy you need to teach my boyfriend this so she had him come over and we had another discussion haha and that went awesome and he wants to keep meeting so that was fun! such amazing people here! 

ah man today was too awesome though. so we were cleaning our apartment and i picked up this big fat pan apparently its called a wok for frying like asian food or something and we couldnt figure out what we you would use it for but then we visited this guy and noticed there was this huge hill near his house covered in snow. so today we brought the wok there and rode down the hill sitting in it and man we were dying haha seriously the funnest thing ever. we had some awesome runs and some awesome crashes and in the end my hair was completely frozen and we had tears frozen to our faces from crying laughing and the wind. ah man too awesome. 

ah i couldnt be happier here. its such a beautiful time of year! sharing the message of Jesus Christ has been such an incredible opportunity! especially now as we celebrate His birth! what an amazing gift we all have! the least we could do is share is with everyone we can! i love this work so much and i love these people and this time of year and everything!! love you all so much!!

oooohhhhh my mom i love it so much here and my new companion and everything ah i couldnt be happier. haha youre feeding the sisters! sister missionaries are so funny. we had some a while back here that filled their car's gas tank with water and ruined the car hahhahahahaha. i literally cried when i heard that one. ah p day has been A BLAST hahaha you guys HAVE to try wok sledding. hahaha we were dying. no injuries dont worry haha we played it very safe.  no i didnt get any packages yet! i think we get them on friday! im gonna for sure wait to open them dont worry haha. maybe ill open them in our skype call! what do you think?? and the secret santa sounds awesome! for sure the lego friends idea is fantastic!!! send me some ideas for sets and ill choose one! im also thinking about sending something back for everyone but since i got transferred out i dont know where the cool little foreign shops are. im so excited for the skype!! so weird to imagine talking to you all! ah im so excited!! haha im doing great with the cold! its starting to get crazy though but i have all the things i need! and the hand warmers are AMAZING oh my so awesome. haha the worst part is the ears. so i bought a nice toque for that. im pretty much safe from the cold! hahhahaha oh my reese. shes so silly. im so glad you guys got to spend time with jon and alena! i love them. remember when i went into their house the 24th of december and she invited me to eat with breakfast with them and i didnt even realize they were having their christmas hahaha ah that was so embarrassing but theyre so sweet. hmm, i cant really think of anything i need! ive been kinda thinking about having my apple watch up here though. for the fitness tracker and some of the other tools it has. but if thats too inconvienent dont worry about it at all! just a thought! 

Awesome, this makes me so happy!!! Good comp AND good Ward!!!! Yes I was feeding them when I got he text from the lady feeding you, and I was texting their moms...it’s funny. WATER????? Ugh, I just can’t. Ok, I was just thinking tho, you might want your Christmas tie early, so you could open the package from home, only grab the solid red tie and close it all back up so you can get some use out of that. It could be a good conversation starter. Or not, I wouldn’t mind!  And you open your gifts whenever you feel like it-that’s the fun part of being a grown up!!  

      Don’t worry about sending anything, it’s sooooo expensive. If you wanted to do something sweet for my girls, they LOVE video of you and hearing your voice and laugh.  We miss it around here. I’ll send you the watch, it may take a while since shipping to Ottawa is the worst I think. I’m glad you like the hand warmers and you got that hat for your cold ears!  Cold ears give me a headache. Are you sure the Apple Watch is allowed? Otherwise I could see if dads fitbit works. 

 Why did you lose weight in your last area? I noticed you had a more defined jaw in more recent pics, I wondered. That’s so fun that they are trying to fatten you up!!!! I love them all!!!!

yeah ah i was so happy mom hahah i literally knelt down into my bed and just cried i was so happy the first day. haha ah thanks so much for feeding those missionaries. they look so sweet. probably wouldnt want to stay in az forever though... but yeha hahahha WATER. i guess they thought if they had enough faith the water would turn into gasoline. hahahaha sisters. but ah a christmas tie?! okay maybe ill open just that one... cause that sounds fantastic. hahahah AH COLLIN AHHAHAHHAHHAHHHHHHH drives me absolutely crazy. hes SUCH a goon. not even just a trunky missionary hes like a deacon going on a minimission. he shouldve been more ready. but whatever, i just hope he eventually learns. pride tends to get in the way of that a lot. but ah the watch would be great! yeah theyre allowed. the apple watch would be perfect! hah i wouldnt have anything to connect it to anyways for it to be a phone of any kind. i love flip phones!! but yeah i lost a bit in my last area cause it was a brand new area and not a lot of members knew us and the apartment was completely empty when we got there. so it was just a diet change to save money. never starving or anything! just smaller amounts. and now its like BOOM food EVERYWHERE haha so much food. members love feeding us here. its amazing!!
