That looks so fun!! hahaha of course reese would do that she's crazy. It was so awesome getting those letters from them! love you girls!! also we all enjoyed those pictures of your primary activity! Those little kids are so lucky to have you there! they must love being there. also thank you so much for the retainer and the pictures! the guys and i went over it like fifty times haha we all appreciate it very much. its getting crazy here at the MTC! All the new mission presidents coming in for their training so the apostles are everywhere!! tuesday we had a big devotional and our district joined the choir so we got to sing Praise to the Man and it was the most incredible experience. Tuesday was the 173rd anniversary of Joseph Smith's martyrdom so the director of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir came and directed all of us and while doing so he went through the entire Joseph Smith story while we progressed through the song and i have never felt the spirit so strong through music before. Every line in the song felt so powerful. The sound of a ton of missionaries singing their hearts out to this man that sacrificed everything he had for this gospel was unreal. The craziest part was when we were singing as loud as we could at a line, I heard dad's distinct voice out of nowhere and i freaked out for a second and was excited and i stopped singing cause i wanted to hear it but i realized it was mine. the spirit was doing incredible things throughout that experience. "millions shall know brother Joseph again." so stoked to be part of that mission. oh and then ten out of the twelve apostles came for the devotional we were singing at and Elder Bednar spoke to us and it was beyond incredible! We knew there would probably be an apostle coming but not ten of them haha it was too awesome. He talked about the tree of life and told us the tree could actually represent Christ and him dwelling inside of us and a whole new interpretation of that scripture, it was awesome! The MTC is amazing, the food is pretty dang good too. I've gained eight pounds so far... and i dont have any desire to change anything about that so if any of you care about me hurry and email me some inspiration to start eating healthy. The language is coming on great! I forget english more than i forget french now haha but thats a good thing i guess. it sounds like im going to have to learn spanish in the field quick, elder moreno and edler durgante are helping me out with the basics though. i keep hearing more about my mission and im dying to just get out there. im so stoked for braxton!! good job on your talk buddy, i heard it was awesome!! youre going to love it up here man. and charter im seriously dying up here waiting to hear you say you got called to New Zealand. or wherever haha honestly you're gonna kill it wherever you go. and weston i heard some pretty awesome things about the Columbia MTC!! Im so stoked for you man!! All you guys are going to love it. MTC is way more fun than you think, and time doesn't even feel real. My zone feels like a big family and living with a bunch of brothers is awesome, but also what you'd probably expect it to be like so yeah haha, but i love it. i cant stop feeling so blessed to be here and to be a missionary representing the true church of God. Love all of you!!
Here are some pictures from our trip so far! We all slept on the upper deck under the stars last night, and Reese slept walked and yelled at Linlee that she was looking for the cats lol. The stars were amazing. The house boat has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms-it's super nice!! Love, mom
hey girls!! good job reaghan on your babysitting job! you're gonna make so much money! and kennadie i sure hope you go back to rome and find an appropriate gift or something. that'd be fantastic. the food is actually pretty good here, no macaroni but its still pretty good! im putting on quite a bit of weight, eight pounds so far. not in the belly though so thats good. my shirt sleeves are all way more fitted. ive been working out doing these crazy exercises and everything in the day and then i use the TRX dad gave me at night. reese im so sorry my music isnt still blasting at home. im kinda bummed to not hear my music anymore too. but hey i have new music now, find the song "souviens toi" its one of the cantiques my district and i sing every night. one of my new favorite songs of all time, well my favorite of what i can listen to here. its a hymn thats only in the french book! so give that a listening to and ill be there with you guys. and yeah go for it with learning french! id love to get some emails in french! i know you could do it! and learn the guitar for me and feel free to send videos of you guys all playing your instruments. just something ive been missing. and id love to have some more music. also if you guys have any fun pictures you want to send up that would be fantastic! love and miss you girls, keep doing amazing things!!

Good morning kiddo!! I hope you've had another good week there at the MTC. Things are all good here. We are going to lake Powell today with the Melcher's to spend the 4th on their houseboat. Honestly I'm probably most excited for some first hand ellory experiences. She makes me laugh so hard. Her melt downs are so dramatic and her tiny voice-it's so hard not to crack up. House boats seem cool too-I'll send you pictures. Sooooo, let's see, last Sunday I thought it would be cute to do a beach themed singing activity where the kids pull an item out of a bag, it has a song on it, we sing the song and they put that beach item on me. So at the end I look like I'm ready for the beach-cute right? Lol. So they start with the the snorkel fins both times (jr and sr) so I'm just stuck there not able to walk the rest of singing time. Then goggles, which fogged up. The little inner tube and towel made me super hot, and I thought some white sunblock on my nose would be cute-like what lifeguards wear on their nose? But of course I don't have that white zinc so I used white poster paint-nbd. Except that the Dupont girl put it on my nose then UNDER my nose like a funny mustache. Which was funny, until after we started singing, the room started spinning, and I was thinking, this feels like a dream... and I shout out "stop the music-I'm getting high!!" And the primary presidency rushes up with baby wipes to help me stop huffing paint... so you know, just a regular day in primary. It's never a good sign when ALL the teacher have their phones out taking pictures.
Hey-before I forget, do you need that electric razor in your bathroom? What have you been using to shave??? I'll mail it to you as soon as we get back if you need it, just lmk.
I printed the thank you cards and made more of those red Canadian cookies to go with them and we delivered them. :)
Dad and I got to go to charters ordination Sunday, his step dad did it and it was awesome. Charter says he is so jealous that you're already there-he wants to be there so bad. His job is good-actually it sucks and it's hard but he says it's good which is so awesome. He knows a job is supposed to suck at this point in life and I'm proud of him for that. Alena told me how grateful they are for your friendship and the influence you've been. Lots of love there.
Reagan and I went to a hospice place to stay with Whitney for a couple hours which was nice. She is super sweet right now. Reaghan's signing is so amazing.
Braxton's farewell was good. He's got lots to learn but a good willing heart.
Well, we love you. We watch home movies and your silly videos so we can hear your laugh in the house and it makes us happy. We are proud of you for being where you are right now. It's awesome and we couldn't be happier for you. I hope the language is coming along for you-we are praying for you. Let me know if there's anything you need. Love you!!! Love, mom.
haha everyone died over your overdose in primary story. keep up the fun stories and pictures please. and i have that little electric razor but couldn't get everything on my face with it so i bought a razor blade and some shaving cream haha i have some gnarly cuts in my chin from that. i could use the neck hair attachment thing that i forgot... but only if its convenient! like if you wanted to send any giiifts or caaaaandy or whatever... haha just kidding im good with whatever. i love all of you so much!! -Elder Halliday
