somebody hates these cans

yeah another crazy week. got transfer calls and we are actually both heading out haha so yeah, no idea. it was a good run!

a fun busy week! this lady's basement flooded so we got to help fix up her basement! that was super fun and a ton of work!ah i loved it. ive missed that work haha. its been cool to see old skills form work back home at use here in the mission! its been too much fun! 

it was pouring rain thursday and it was like in between freezing rain and snow so i dont really know what it was but yeah it was wet and we got a text from bishop saying a lady had been in a serious car accident and was in a coma in the ICU so we cancelled our appointments and sprinted to the hospital cause the buses were running late and it turned out to be miles away haha so we got an awesome workout. but yeah we found her and i had the opportunity to give her a blessing and that was such an amazing opportunity. ive been able to give a lot out in the field but this one felt way different for some reason. i talked to the husband before giving the blessing and he told me how the side of her skull had splintered into her brain causing a serious brain bleed and swelling so they cut out a large portion of the side of her skull hoping to ease down the swelling, that being with numerous other serious injuries and just looking at her was hard to see a bright end to the situation. it was hard being asked to give the blessing cause my first thought was that it wasnt going to end well, given the sight of this now deformed and broken woman there was no way it could possibly end well. but giving the blessing i received so much comfort and an interesting feeling that she was going to be perfectly fine and not have any permanent damage came to me and it was super interesting. the couple were less actives, hadnt been to church in a long time and the husband told me that he knew she was going to be fine afterwards. very neat experience. haha we were walking down the hallway of the ICU afterwards and i looked at Elder Carter and he was whiter than his shirt haha he does NOT do well with graphic things like that. he almost passed out during the blessing haha that was a fun miracle he didnt. 

got to meet with our buddy Tito and his family and that was awesome! we were able to answer all his questions about the church and we read the Book of Mormon in Portuguese together and that was great! we had an awesome long discussion on priesthood and authority and everything and he asked me so many times if i was sure i didnt speak portuguese haha. no i dont speak portuguese, but the Gift of Tongues is pretty fantastic sometimes. 

yeah its been awesome here in Riverside. kinda bummed to leave, ill miss my asian ladies calling me their cowboy. but yeah we had a good run. some guy punched me in the head on the bus for no reason. im stoked for this next area! sorry i failed with pictures this week. its been crazy busy. love you all so much!!!

it was windy and apparently scarves are a thing here. for guys too. im still a doubter

still working on arabic. there are SO many people here that speak it, its always funny to see their reaction when a white kid asks them a question in arabic. but its freaking hard. 

This morning I looked outside and it’s completely overcast and my first thought was “I got you that”. It’s a good one. You’re welcome. 

    Things continue to be good here. Much of the same-Ken finally got her application in so now we wait, dad is working lots and lots of overtime to help our family with expenses, my work is amazing and I love it, Reese is sweet and kind and doing well in school and with friends, and Reaghan got her braces off and is sooo happy lol. We are having scriptures and prayers each day and doing better with our fhe, more planned lessons and all. 

    I was so happy to see you eating sushi!!!! And that looked like really good sushi. That was so nice of them!! 

no way!!! its totally overcast here too! haha ive actually told elder johnson about that so many times whenever it was nice out! id be like "yo, my mom got us this" haha thank you so much. but ah im so happy for the girls. ive told so many people back here about kennadie going to college and being a genius. and reaghan looks SO GOOD!!!!! oh my these girls are SO old. ah im so happy for them. hahahah how are you so flexible?!?!?! thats incredible!! looks painful jinkies. hahaha collin, hes such a baby. SUCH a baby. opening his presents early. also yeah so my apartment will be a different address! and Paige Brienholt sent me a letter! theyre so sweet! but yeah so im getting transfered to a new area. with a new companion oh my goodness just in time hahahhah ah. 

hahahah yeah i dont know. my patience just draws a bit thin sometimes. like i do EVERYTHING. sorry a bit complainy but yeah ill just let it out whatever. i do literally everything. kinda miss having a partner in the work. but its okay. i learned a lot about patience from him. A LOT. quite a few times i had to turn my back and just grrrrrrrrrrRRRRRRR and hold back french swear words. i was lucky though. ive heard of having companions that dont let you work. i just had to pull him along. hed do what i told him but only when i told him. otherwise he would sit there and do nothing. sorry, super ranty. i hate being ranty, but thats it. im grateful for him and i love him and yeah YEAH haha we'll see. we get along super well actually. hes awesome. but ah im so excited to learn. its super hard. im working on the alphabet. i can say a few things and ask some questions but yeah haha im super excited!!okay im learning freaking arabic and its SO awesome.
